Night shift nurse here! We get paid for 13 hours and have to work until the Sloth Hiking team we’ll get there when we get there vintage sunset T-Shirt besides I will buy this corrected shift change in the morning so one extra hour. It messes up our charting so bad I hate it sm it’s prob one of our most understaffed nights a year bc of how much of a hassle it is :/ I worked at a security company that didn’t pay you for that hour back because “it didn’t exist”. Good ol’ Ameritex Air ambulance pilot here, we can only work a maximum of 12 hours per shift (CAA Regulations). So we had 1 hour of no ambulance cover that night. Where I worked, the hourly folks got paid an hour of OT when the clocks turned back and got paid for 8 hours when the clocks moved forward. Our shops were a zoo for weeks with senior guys and gals switching shifts to gain the free hour in the spring, and then switching back in two weeks to go back to first shift.

Work the Sloth Hiking team we’ll get there when we get there vintage sunset T-Shirt besides I will buy this occasional 24hr shift, literally 24 hours at a desk doing various things and holding down the fort. Leave only to pee or get food and come straight back. It’s nice to get time to binge watch and catch up on shows and movies and stuff, but the nights always hit hard. Watching an extra hour slap you in the face makes you seriously question life decisions. Was on 24 hour shift. Realized with dread that it was actually a 25 hour shift. Sat there and watched the clocks turned back. Then ran to a code. I used to work 12 hrs on, 12 hrs off on an offshore oil rig. We were salary, so the hours didn’t matter. Meals were served at 6, 12, 18, and 2400. They didn’t shift the meal times, so in the fall you just sorta lose and work an extra hour, in the spring you win and work one less hour.
