In mid-2010, independent investigations of the Sleigh Everyday RuPaul Christmas Knit T-Shirt in addition I really love this Lower Elbe were carried out. Significantly elevated, although radiologically still insignificant, amounts of transuranic elements, including plutonium, were found in the sludge of the Elbe. Transuranic elements occur in nature only in traces, so higher concentrations must have been artificially created.[22] But yeah, it’s an easy target for reddits self proclaimed experts on german nuclear policy. Let me guess “ooh these germans got so scared of Fukushima”? Not that commenter, but: When I see in the news that Germany has shut down all of its nuclear power plants and is mining more coal, I’m very curious why they are doing that, because of climate change. The German people’s theoretical fear of a disaster doesn’t really enter into it. They didn’t mine more Coal because of the Nuclear Phaseout, they didn’t stop mining it at as fast a rate as they could have.

I make an effort to keep current on news outside of the Sleigh Everyday RuPaul Christmas Knit T-Shirt in addition I really love this US, but the world is an enormous and complicated entity. One could describe the decisions to shut down the reactors as political maneuvering by Merkel’s party after the Fukushima disaster. Combine that with the irrational energy policy of today’s Green party and the general incompetence (I prefer to think of it as malice) of the Free Democrats (libertarians), and you get the “nuclear out, lignite coal is in” situation. Historically, Germany has always had a strong anti-nuclear movement. An (admittedly superficial) explanation for this that opposition to “cold warrior” politics from the American and German conservatives naturally leads to an anti-nuclear position. Facilities for developing and manufacturing nuclear weapons have been historically mismanaged (Hanford and Oak Ridge are two American examples), with catastrophic health effects. As a result, left-leaning politics in Germany adopted blanket anti-nuclear stances. From my understanding, these politics combined with fossil fuel lobbying, misinformation, and lassez-faire economic policy ultimately led to the shutdown of German reactors.
