Caterers, venues, decorations etc. Vendors hear “wedding” and know people to afraid to be seen as “cheap” and will fork out for it. I also get it as a business decision, profit aside. Weddings are high pressured, standards are likely to be super high and the clients harder to work with than other events. I can see them wanting more money to make it worth their time. Weddings are likely to be a lot of hassle, you’ll encounter bride and groomzillas, you’ll have an incredibly tight timetable to work with and guests are probably gonna be super drunk. It’s fair game to charge a higher price for them than you might do for other events.
