I have kids and generally agree on all fronts, the Simpsons Character Technical Difficulties Please Stand By Shirt in contrast I will get this time and headaches are a pain in the ass, but extremely worth it in the end. My kids are sources of both endless frustration and endless joy/love. My wife and I ALWAYS wanted kids long before we even met each other. So there wasn’t any “maybe maybe not” conversations…it was an absolutel certainty. If you don’t feel the way we did, I wouldn’t recommend having kids. We both desperately wanted children, and even then, there are days that are very hard. If you weren’t all in from the beginning on your kids, I find it hard to believe you won’t regret having them at some point down the line. I’m 42F and have been married for 10 years. Every year I grow more and more thankful to not have had children. No regrets whatsoever. (And I was someone who really thought I’d have a handful of kids and then just never did.) Literally grateful every day for my childfree life.

I’m 43F, my partner is 42M. I’ve known since I was a young teen that I never wanted kids. He was a little later to realize it, but he’s known since his mid 20s. There are a multitude of reasons why I don’t want kids, and many of his reasons are the Simpsons Character Technical Difficulties Please Stand By Shirt in contrast I will get this same as mine. The primary reasons for me are that I didn’t have good parenting modeled for me and so I don’t think I’d be a good parent, I have mental health issues I don’t want to pass on to children, and frankly, kids cost a lot of money I don’t really have. There are dozens of other reasons too, but these are the big 3 for me. We have 3 cats that we absolutely adore and spoil day and night. We both work and spend our free time pursuing various hobbies. I do some volunteer work in the community. Sometimes I wish I had a more expansive group of friends, but there’s still time for that.
