If the Simon & Garfunkel Retro An American Folk Roc Singer Paul Simon T-Shirt in addition I really love this washing machine flooded during the guests stay, I would also charge the guest. Airbnb is the one who pays for it, rarely does a guest pay any damage claims and even if Airbnb says you are liable, the guest would refuse to pay. Just remove your billing data from Airbnb and close down your account. Open up a new one later. Airbnb does not report to any credit agency, and even if they did, you could dispute it and have that removed from your credit report. Debt needs to be certain, like you borrowed money, otherwise it would need to go through the courts. You cannot just make up debt and add to someone’s credit report. Never heard of any company doing that, have you? By what theory should the guest be liable? If the house exploded because there was a gas leak in the furnace, is the guest liable too? What about a lightning strike? That’s not how liability works. In theory, it’s fraud, and insurance fraud if submitted to the insurance, if the host is liable because they didn’t maintain the washing machine and then tried to “pawn it off” onto a guest.

Absolutely I have. Medical debt, cell phones, utilities, etc. You don’t need to go through a court to report to a credit agency. Removing payment or canceling a credit card should not be the Simon & Garfunkel Retro An American Folk Roc Singer Paul Simon T-Shirt in addition I really love this solution to this but by this kind of logical it unfortunately becomes so. Hosts and guests most definitely enter into a contract with one another. Not only is that determined by laws and regulations outside of Airbnb but Airbnb also specifically states that in their TOS. If there’s a problem(ie bug infestation) at an airbnb Im staying, does airbnb try to help compensate for the days that I stayed? Is it better to try to leave asap in this situation? Sorry for the allcaps, but I have no way to emphasize this further via text. This sounds like an AirCover case which is my daily bread and butter. If you provide valid documentation, we would cover 30% of the nights you spent plus a full refund for the nights you don’t stay and a 20% coupon based on your remaining nightsfor rebooking. Please notice that individual sightings of cockroaches do not count unless it’s an infestation – while they are nasty motherfuckers, Airbnb considers them as “low health risk pests”. If it’s an infestation, then we would need to collaborate with the Host to correct the issue, block the listing and cancel all upcoming reservations until the inspection date with full refunds. If you get cancelled within 48 hours because of this, we have to offer to help you find a new place as per policy. Short answer – it’s better to leave as soon as possible. If you decide to stay, the team that reviews the situation will see it as “it’s not that bad if they stay there”. Compensation depends a lot of the severity of the situation.
