He says he can pick it up becuase it dissipates the heat so quickly. Also the top comment is literally “just deprive it of oxygen for longer.” Your explanation is almost exactly what the firefighter said except you provided a situation as well, reinforcing the lesson. Given that a mustache is probably the first thing to get singed off if you’re caught in some kind of explosion or flash flame, there may actually be some marginal, ironic truth to this within the realm of firefighting Fun fact: mustaches like those are done because you can still achieve an adequate seal to the facemask. And firefighter facemasks use positive pressure so a seal is necessary or the air would all just leak out. Well now I don’t want to be a firefighter anymore. I look weird with no beard. Kinda like a penis that forgot she was was a penis. You may have said this as a joke but also consider have you ever been close to fire with hair? I have, it evaporates quickly. This guy knows his shit. He’s so good at fighting fires that there isn’t even a hint of missing hair on his glorious lip ferret.
