5 .5 years ago, I was head over hills. Very dumb over my man. He wanted a baby. We had one. We’re still together, but when I tell you that I do 90% of the She Loves The Detroit Lions 2023 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this parenting. I never have time to myself. I always need to find a sitter – I make too much for child care but don’t make enough to afford it on my own (Don’t really trust it either.) My son is bad af. I love him to death, he’s incredibly intelligent and has been parented well, but he’s 5 y/o. My friends with children similar in age just confirm that at that age, they’re feral. And apparently it gets worse, so there’s that. I can afford him with no problem. But a vacation ? I wouldn’t waste my money, I don’t have anyone to watch him for that long and if I took him I’d be miserable. I work from home and he doesn’t go to school until August, so I’m with him 24/7. It’s definitely made my mental health worse, I’m 30 now – my life has truly been nothing but going thru the motions anymore. I haven’t been on a trip since before he was born. I haven’t been happy for years. Not blaming him, that’s just what comes with being a mother.

So, fuck what everyone else thinks or wants. If you don’t want to have a baby, don’t have one. I don’t regret my son, as he’s made a lot of things about me better. But I can’t lie and say that I’m not bitter about losing myself in my mid 20’s. I miss being happy, calm, and free to do whatever without someone else depending on me. I miss friends and vacations. It’s also made it more difficult to leave his dad at times that I knew I should have. I’m 31F and I’ve never wanted kids. Even when I was a kid I never imagined a family where u was married with kids. It’s just never appealed to me. People keep telling me I’ll change my mind one day but so far that’s not happened. I have no real reason for not wanting kids.
