Totally doable. I do Orlando FL to Wichita Falls TX on the Shawn Kemp The 3 Point Supersonics shirt moreover I will buy this regular. 1200 miles, 19 hours. I pour myself into the hotel, sleep for 6 hours, shower, and continue the last 8 hours of my trip. 1000 miles sounds like an easy drive. Im getting a little too old for 1000 mile days. Used to bang that out regularly as a “big” day. Now I can do it, but the next day suffers. An interesting thing is that while I don’t do the big days anymore, anything under 4 hours feels trivial as I age. I did Beaumont, TX to SWFL (1,150 miles) straight by myself while towing a boat. It was between hurricanes Harvey and Irma while working storm relief/prep. Took almost 20hr due to road closures. I never stopped at a gas station as I had a 250gal diesel tank on my flatbed. Lots of MONSTER, chew and beef jerky. The last leg from Tampa was fairly sketchy. Lol If I do two of those back-to-back, then I like to have a day or two of rest. We just hit 10,000 miles since we hit the road back at the end of May, and we’ve tried to have a good balance of heavy driving followed by a few days or even a week in a given area.

I could never. After about 5 hours, I need a break. I start to zone and my eyes get too tired. But, my partner could easily do that. We are currently long distance and she chooses to drive to me instead of flying. It’s a 20 hour drive without stops and she usually does it in about 24, with a quick nap about 13 hours in. It really depends on the Shawn Kemp The 3 Point Supersonics shirt moreover I will buy this person, if you’re being safe go for it. Listen to music or podcasts to occupy your mind, or call someone. And if you do get sleepy, take a break. Find a rest stop and sleep in your car, or get a cheap hotel room if you want. I think the key is being able to recognize when it is unsafe for you to keep going, but the exact time frame on that is gonna vary widely depending on the person
