And this is coming from a wife whose heart dropped at calculating the Sandro Mamukelashvili Georgian-American professional basketball player San Antonio Spurs T-Shirt – Copy but in fact I love this payments for a $500k house we wanted to pull the trigger on for iur damily. Don’t push yourself and your family to the financial limit. Show her the numbers and be firm it will be crushing My wife did the same thing whenever we were house hunting! It was very irritating after a while. She’d do the same thing when I’d send her houses – find reasons they weren’t good enough. I thought it was simple math and logic. Here’s how much we can afford and here are the houses in that price range. Choose one. We never ended up moving, fortunately. Mine likes to read them to me while we’re driving. “5 bed, 4 bath, 3200 sqft. Ooh ooh, look at these pictures of the resort style pool!”

Well, first off congrats on being able to afford a home, that’s seriously incredible in today’s economy Sandro Mamukelashvili Georgian-American professional basketball player San Antonio Spurs T-Shirt – Copy but in fact I love this so props. Second, I would sit down with your wife and have a serious talk about how these houses are clearly out of your budget by a long-shot, but that you see how she could find them appealing (I mean who wouldn’t want a 1.4 mil home, right?). Ask her what about these over budget houses appeals to her specifically. Figure out what it is she likes about them. Maybe she really wants a nice kitchen (god knows I do). Maybe she wants a super nice living room to host. Maybe she wants a killer master bedroom/bath. Who knows? Find out what it is she really sees as “WOWZA” in these non-acceptable homes and start seeking homes that fit in your budget that may appeal to that desire.
