It’s mostly about more money for me as I am reasonably happy at my current job. I really only started looking to see what I was worth on the San Francisco Giants SVG MLB Baseball Shirt in contrast I will get this market and now that I’ve gone through the whole interview process I realize that, outside of the higher pay, there are both pros and cons to staying/leaving. The certainty of the job I’m in now combined with higher pay coming from a counteroffer may be too enticing to pass up. There will always be pros and cons at any job you take, so as long as the pros of staying vastly outweigh the cons, AND the counter offer is good, staying isn’t necessarily a bad thing at all I accepted a counter offer and didn’t regret it. Your mileage may vary though, and it is all very tailored to your situation. I think, in general, you need to be comfortable with what you like and don’t like about your current job. You also need to be comfortable with if/why you were not paid as much as the outside offer. Lastly, you’ve got to know your employer well. Are they the kind of place that will want you to stay and mean it with a counter-offer, or would they be looking to retaliate or replace you as soon as possible?

Best piece of advice I can offer. If you’re looking for something else, chances are it’s more than money driving the San Francisco Giants SVG MLB Baseball Shirt in contrast I will get this search. Also, once you accept a counter offer you just put a target on your back for any and all cuts/RIF’s etc. Promotions? Probably not going to happen, as your “loyalty” will come into question. Finally, your basically giving up any annual increase. They’ll justify the counter offer as your bump, sometimes for multiple years. Totally true! One of the reasons I decided to leave my last company was I knew if I stayed that the higher salary would only satiate me for a few months. After that I’d be window shopping for new gigs again. Left a great company and an awesome team and while my new job is way harder, I’ve already grown quite a bit.
