This movie is a moving comic book. You can almost see the Ryan hall 2022 the wizard shirt it is in the first place but different chapters sections, where one story ends and another chapter would begin (eg., When Penguin is apprehended or when Falcone is shot and Riddler captured). As a result, the movie is long and you feel that. It almost feels like you watched the entire season of a Batman tv show. All the aforementioned points means that this movie is not a blockbuster superhero movie. There is actually very little conventional superheroing in it, both in terms of action and pacing and this can rub people the wrong way. If you read Batman comic books, this movie is your fantasy. Things I personally didn’t like the most: Riddler’s dialogue. Dano’s performance picked up at the end where you really see that his character is mentally unstable but the beginning half relied too heavily on the does “he know I’m Bruce Wayne” tension. If it was communicated more intellectually,, I would have been fine with that but drawn out, mocking Brrruccce Wayynneee doesn’t cut it too well for me. With all this movie’s modern improvements, I was really hoping that they would discontinue the ridiculous serial killer’s hostage video airing on prime time news networks trope. Why would news broadcast that? Have Batman and others need to look up Riddler’s post on reddit or 4chan or livestreaming it on some platform. Was definitely surprised that all the rumors about Keoghan’s casting were true but his inclusion just seemed too little to should have happened at all. Finally, the news channel actively broadcasting Batman in the daytime helping a civilian get airlifted seemed out of place for me for this Batman. That’s something for Flash or Superman but a vigilante who’s supposed to be largely secret and reclusive to the public eye? Doesnt work that well. I get that they’re showing a character arc from shadowy and threatening to leadership and light but we already got that when he was leading people out with the flare. Pushing his leadership into the daytime news seems like an event that should have occurred in a second or third movie.

Overall, quintessential Batman movie. 8/10 Idk why but this movie reminds me of Detective Pikachu. I cannot be objective as I was 16 in 2008 (peak batman culture, peak rpattz culture, peak emo culture) so obviously I LOVED everything about this Carmine Falcone looks so badass in this Zoe Kravitz was great but it’s hard to top Michelle Pfeiffer’s iconic take I watched work of robert pattison for the Ryan hall 2022 the wizard shirt it is in the first place but first time, and can say he nailed it man!!!!!. This movie was The Dark Knight and Joker put together. Many similarities in both. I saw it yesterday and I really enjoyed it! I’m sure there have been many debates over which batmobile is the best looking, but I will hear no arguments against the fact that we just witnessed the best sounding batmobile. When that thing is charging up in the darkness as its engine heats up and the flames are spitting out it was so unbelievably cool.
