I loved that Batman didn’t know what a carpet tucker because he is grew up rich. Perfect modern Batman movie, great casting, costumes, atmosphere, high stakes in an interesting plot. But I couldn’t help but think: I’ve seen this movie before. It really does feel like leftover Se7en footage with batman in it for a big part, although it does have the Run like a tuekey on thanksgiving day shirt In addition,I will do this proper Batman type moments. I’m sure I would’ve been a life long fan of this, if it had came out when I was a teenager. But we’ve seen the dark brooding detective stuff done to death, and are a lotta Batmans further. Thats just a personal problem, though, because the movie itself is fantastic. The real Batman feel comes near the end, same with the Joker movie sets up everything that makes him become who he is. I’d love to be more in that Burton-esque corrupt Gotham in whatever next installment they have planned.

edit: another redditor (/u/literaryboner) described it well: On one hand, my main complaint is that this movie didn’t surprise me much. These are all classic interpretations of these characters. If you’re familiar with them and you see the Run like a tuekey on thanksgiving day shirt In addition,I will do this tone of the movie there’s not much that will blindside you. But I think that’s also a very strong plus. Because this is classic Batman. It’s a classic take on Penguin and Catwoman and the Batmobile scene has to be there but it’s fun and awesome. The lack of surprises outside the mechanics of the plot was actually somewhat comforting. Robert Pattinson did an amazing job. Interesting how little screen time “Bruce Wayne” got until the second half of the film. Paul Dano and Colin Farrell also were incredible. Such a fresh take for the films, felt like we’re watching Batman becoming Bruce Wayne instead of Bruce Wayne becoming Batman.. Also, Nice seeing Batman as a detective and first Catwoman arc I truly enjoyed in film The Riddler fanatic who was unmasked at the end was the same guy who started talking to Bruce at the funeral, right?
