Couldnt you have given it to a pet shop? Those types of fish are solitary except when mating. The problem wasnt the Rosemead Lodge 457 Cares By Kuyang Freemason T-Shirt in contrast I will get this fish, it was that a bunch of college kids set up the wrong environment for it. Ooo! Time for my weird fish knowledge to be actually useful! My Family owned a fish hatchery where we raised tropical freshwater fish for aquariums and hobbyists for 50 years, so my Dad had seen hundreds of thousands of sick an injured fish that in his time. Instead of leaving them to suffer we would: Add a small amount hydrogen peroxide to the water, this blasts them with oxygen. It’s hard to say with a fish but they SEEM unconscious after a few minutes. Then you, well, put them in ice water and then into the freezer. Hopefully they are not aware of their death and go peacefully. Full disclosure this process was used in tandem with medications and only used when the whole tank would have mass deaths or for those fish being eaten to death. Otherwise we let nature take its course.

If you eat eggs from the Rosemead Lodge 457 Cares By Kuyang Freemason T-Shirt in contrast I will get this store, you participate in an equal level of cruelty. Male chicks of egg laying breeds are run through a blender alive because you don’t need many males and it’s cheaper to euthanize them than deal with them any other way. The fact of keeping a fish in a small blender jar for however long the exhibition was is already cruel in and of itself. Also, who cares if it took long or not? Cruelty is not just about suffering, it’s about needlessly ending a life. Those fish were killed for the most stupid of reasons and that’s cruel enough. Im danish, I remember when this took place. On the danish news it only took up like one minute. Surprised that it even qualifies for this subreddit, seems pretty boring to me. I can appreciate that only one weirdo used the installation in Denmark during it’s run in 2000. However, the piece has also travelled other museums in foreign countries; in Austria in 2006 while on exhibition, all the fish got kidnapped by unknown bullies, who managed to kill one of them in a blender before taking off with the rest of them. And in Chile in 2002 activists tried to break in and free the fish.
