I recently heard a story about how when you begin to meditate, it is similar to looking into a muddy pond. The pond is your mind. They accompanied the doom feeling but, from what I do remember, they weren’t obviously scary or sad in content. Each episode left me feeling anxious for days afterwards.

I was meditating every day for about 15 minutes at that point and new to the Roosterth rwby brir chibI shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this practice. I quit and was afraid to try again. I’m not sure. But I get the feeling of gloom/doom and a feeling of sadness in my body if that makes sense. Its something I’ve experienced in the past but usually when sad about something or going through a depressive episode. It may not be tied to the meditation and may just be the fluctuations of my regular condition. But yesterday I came home from work feeling great and did some brief yoga stretches then 5 minutes of meditation and within 20 minutes I had intrusive thoughts about health anxiety and then went down from there for a brief period and then my mood picked up again after that. Tbh I don’t think its tied to the meditation cos today I was getting a bit irritable and depressed before I meditated but after the meditation it got worse.
