Alot of teens nowadays seem to be more influenced by gym tiktokers so they work out more, take care of themselves and alot of teens smoke less now As soon as spots have appeared on my children I got them into a skin routine, I think the Ronald Acuna Jr. Atlanta Sunglasses base leader T-Shirt and I will buy this idea of boys looking after their skin when I was a teen was unheard of. Everyone still has those pizza faces. Only difference is now, it’s acceptable and normal for young woman of all ages to slap on whatever they want onto there faces. Just a few days ago my wife remarked about a girl on the next table at a restaurant who was very pretty but had had to use a lot of makeup to cover up severe acne.

I think this is in part due to doctors being more willing now to prescribe oral antibiotics. In a nearly all cases that will clear up acne very quickly, and if it returns a short repeat will usually stop it before it starts again. Sadly back in my day doctors mostly just did not do that and you had to suffer with all sorts of almost useless advice about diet and skin care. Even now a few doctors still do not think it a serious enough condition to warrant antibiotics. I think it’s more simple than people may suggest, and just a matter of people eating healthier, and washing their face more often. I think it’s that growing up we didn’t exactly have access to cool skincare products? The only thing I remember using was some weird scrub and acne spot treatment thingy, both shitty drugstore brand… not great. And I could never be bothered to use foundation either because of how awful it felt on my skin (again, shitty drugstore brand). Teens today can just Google “skincare routine” and get a fairly good idea what types of products to use / where to get them. And brands like The Ordinary or The INKEY List don’t cost a fortune! To add to everything else regarding better informed, better choices etc… If you have bad acne now, you just go to the Ronald Acuna Jr. Atlanta Sunglasses base leader T-Shirt and I will buy this doctor and get prescribed a topical treatment. If that doesn’t work, they give you roaccutane (a very powerful drug, that actually used to be a form of chemotherapy). It works. It’s hellish, but it works. I feel this is more the norm now – I had to wait until I was in my mid twenties to get it but my 17 year old sister was immediately offered it when she got to that ‘stage’. I think they’re using it more to help prevent things like scarring, but it can be quite dangerous for mental health.
