So I just don’t know (without knowing the teacher) what the thought process is. I’d talk to the teacher. Shaming children is so damaging in so many ways. I’d even take it up with the principle to be honest. That’s just wrong.

Yeah, this is a teacher shaming the Rolling stones hackney diamond signature shirt in contrast I will get this kid. This is pretty much the first thing we’re taught not to do in college. The attendance thing in public school is ridiculous. Making kids work unpaid 40 hour weeks plus homework plus extracurricular plus whatever chore stuff they have to do at home is absurd. It’s not preparing them for a decent future, it’s preparing them to not know their worth and work insanely hard for little reward. I STILL struggle with this. Education is so important, but they don’t even stress it in schools anymore based on what teachers are saying and test scores. I personally missed too many days my freshman year (single mom w 2 jobs and deadbeat dad issues) with all AP classes and straight A’s.. and they failed me for a semester. I had to do online make up classes that cost $100 each, and then they were shocked and butt hurt that I finished them all in a week. I’m so salty over it to this day LMAO Truant means you were absent from school or a class without being excused, it’s specificly means students in school vs work or anything else
