It’s very old school thinking from the Rock Island Festival 2024 Shirt but in fact I love this whole “spare the rod and spoil the child” school. Alot of it came from a combination of when what was on the table was pretty much the only thing there was, an idea of good manners, and outdated health ideas on feeding up kids. We know better now but generations of people were brought up being made to finish their meal and when they become parents themselves, that early conditioning is really hard to kick Not every parent does that to their children. And there is no real excuse for this kind of abuse. If you ask them, however, it comes down to two things. The first is that the food that was prepared for them, when uneaten, will go to waste. And that, to many people, is like throwing away the money spent on the food. The second is that some parents are terrified of their child starving to death if left to their own devices, or given the responsibility to feed themselves. Trust me, their kids are not even close to starving.

Rock Island Festival 2024 Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

This happened to me as a child and I never finished a meal. I would sit at the Rock Island Festival 2024 Shirt but in fact I love this table for an hour pushing food around, putting peas in my pockets or secretly putting food in the trash while my parents weren’t paying attention. After enough food had disappeared, I was allowed to leave the table, long after everyone had finished their meal. I never did this with my kid, though. Just eat enough to fill you up. If you can’t finish it, no big deal. We’ll save it for later if you still want it. I don’t really see that. What I see is kids eat only bread/meat, avoid fruit and veg, claim they’re full, then ask for sugar snacks. Get offered fruit and veg, say they’re not hungry, then complain for sugar snacks. Is this all the parents you know? As everyone is saying it’s abuse. Have you called these parents out for it because I sure as hell call out shit parents in my peer group.
