The fury I feel trying to push a stroller while walking a dog down a London sidewalk and these bikes just left in the way We have a twin stroller we use when we come to London and it’s almost impossible to navigate around the city because of these bloody things. People don’t even try to park them out of the way. Is it just me or is this not even a problem ? They take up less space than 4 cars here and they are placed in one location atleast. They promote a healthier lifestyle and no pollution. I don’t get why people get so annoyed by a bike. You should visit Amsterdam 4 cars on the pavement? I don’t have an issue with electric bikes, my issue is with them blocking the pavement. Where else do they go? The road ? I get there should be a bit more parking for them or whatever but it’s hardly a big deal. You can quite clearly get round it. Would you prefer 30 more cars on the road ?

To compare these idiotic things to cars parked on a road is nonsensical During my trip there was a bike on the floor near Bridgend road, and it was there for the entire trip I’m certain RIP wheelchair users because no one is reducing the amount of cars/size of the road while increasing the bikes so this mess happens. I don’t get the frustration. So much of our public open space is devoted to the car it’s ridiculous. A few dozen bikes and people lose their shit. It would be so easily sorted if they imposed a limit of bikes per parking space, similar to boris bike bays. Let’s say every bike parking bay was limited to 10 bikes this wouldn’t be a problem Santander bikes are utterly shit compared to Lime. Way slower and as a result a lot scarier to ride around on. On a lime bike, you can keep up with traffic pretty much all the time so far fewer dangerous overtakes etc. Only tried Santander’s and Forrest bikes recently, so can’t comment on Lime. But I actually think the Santander electric bike was better. Only problem is that there are barely any electric Santanders. But I think the general concept of having to park the bike in a locker thingy is much better than the other options. The lockers could even charge the bikes which’d be cool
