Most kids these days go to college or start working while living at home. Save a few bucks and prepare their accounts to go out on their own once they have a gig that pays well enough to do so. The kids who get kicked out are mostly kids with shitty parents, but some are shitty people who need to be kicked out and can finally be legally kicked out without repercussion. Today, most parents don’t do this. They might have their kids start contributing money to the Robert Pattinson My Guardian Angle Actor Film T-Shirt and by the same token and household to teach them about budgeting and independence, but not in a “pay or you’re out of here” kind of way. The only parents that really do this anymore are the crappy ones who don’t want their kids in the house TLDR: My mom didn’t kick me out per say, but for some people, it’s better that way. I have no idea why people have kids and don’t want them to succeed, even if that means helping AFTER you aren’t required to anymore. They’re selfish. That’s all I can think.

She didn’t have the Robert Pattinson My Guardian Angle Actor Film T-Shirt and by the same token and chance to kick me out. I ran just after I turned 17. Her fresh-outta-prison boyfriend was a creep. She took his side over mine. He was 3 years older than me. I left one day after she beat my ass and stayed 2 weeks with a friend. When I came back to grab some of my things, the locks were changed. (I guess she kinda kicked me out?) My mom wouldn’t come to the door. Her BF answered and told me my mom says I can’t come inside. I said I just want to get my things. I heard her shout, “You don’t have things. Those are MY things.” I broke in through the doggy door while they were at work the next day, took my things and travelled the country. Didn’t see or speak to her for years.
