They don’t. Some parents do, but the Robert Pattinson Homage Twilight Film T-Shirt in other words I will buy this vast majority don’t. People take these relatively niche stereotypes and blow them up to represent a FAR bigger portion of people than is reality. My kids would really have to become terrible people for me to ever not give them a place to stay.. that shit is dark If your parents kick you out before you are ready, tell them you will put them in the cheapest retirement home in the state and only visit once a year when they’re old. Not all Americans kick their kids out once they turn 18. As an example, I’m 23 and still live with my parents. They don’t make me pay bills or rent or anything like that, they just want me to save my money up and feed myself. My mother has had 5 children. The youngest just turned 18. She has kicked 3 of 5 kids out as soon as the turned 18. The 2 that wernt kicked out were not in her care or custody at the time. She will die alone in a nursing home. I’m 35 and live with my parents still. I don’t make a lot of money with my job to live on my own…yes I would love living on my own but I love to be around family My twin 20 year old boys both work full time and still live at home. One has a good Union Labor job making $35 an hour and the other makes $28 an hour working at a recycling transfer station. They are both saving for a down payment on a house. They are free to live here until they decide to leave… This is the exception, not the rule. You’ll hear far more stories of kids not leaving home until their late 20s.

Not for nothing, my sister moved to Europe and comments all the Robert Pattinson Homage Twilight Film T-Shirt in other words I will buy this time on how the maturity of 20 somethings is very different. She said that a lot of young people in Europe act like they are still in high school. Maybe there is something to being on your own sooner Definitely not how it is in my family, I have two living at home that are past the kick out age of old timers. They contribute to the household bills but it’s still less than rent would be somewhere, I just ask them to help cover their usage. We all live more comfortably due to bills not being a big stress every month. I understand why some want the kids out regardless of age, cost and time alone as a couple, but if you can make it work it helps everyone in the end. The idea is a holdover from when a high school education got you a good job that paid a living wage. You finished high school and could make it on your own. That was 30+ years ago.
