The only times I’m justified to use it I’m too busy gripping the Rip Marion Gordon Pat Robertson 1930 2023 Shirt and by the same token and steering wheel, hammering the brake and staying hyper aware to everyone else on the road. They knew exactly what they were doing so I gave them a toot just so they were aware they were being a dickhead. I know by doing that I’m probably breaking as many highway code rules as them though. I’ve had my current car for coming up to a year and I’m not sure I’ve ever used the horn. Tbf I think we’re quite good at using our horns in the UK – I rarely see them getting misused, compared to some places I’ve driven in America where it feels like a constant drone of horns. I live in a student-heavy area and too many of them don’t look before walking out into traffic so mine sees fairly regular usage

Not often, maybe if I’m sat behind someone at a green light and they haven’t pulled off and driving down really twisty single track, high hedge country lanes, its a habit that I can’t break. Oh, and sometimes in a carpark if the Rip Marion Gordon Pat Robertson 1930 2023 Shirt and by the same token and kids can’t find me because they lack spatial awareness and suck at directions. Twice in 6 years. One person who missed the light going green twice. One person who tried to cut across 2 lanes on a roundabout into my side. I peep probably every few days to a week or so at idiots cutting me off round roundabouts, those that think their car is powerful enough to warp the time speed space continium and will magically pass me without causing an accident. Theres one stretch of road that has 5 / 6 roundabouts in a 5 / 6 mile radius that I drive a handful of times a week so it’s just good fortune if I don’t have someone trying to cause an accident. About once a week as I go round a blind corner into a tunnel that is singletrack. There is no way to see into it so just use it to make anyone coming the other way aware I am there as I slow down. It’s not for penalising people, it’s for when people haven’t seen me , I.e vans versing out a drive or someone’s lane changing into my lane , about 3/4 time a month but I drive for my job your mileage may vary I saw some kids on bridge with sign saying beep your horn the other day. Then realised after that’s the first time I’ve pressed the horn…. I’ve owned the car 5 years
