Tonight’s episode was kinda frustrating. I get that it’s the Retro Los Angeles Baseball Club Stamp Logo T-Shirt moreover I love this writers intention that the none of the kids “inherit” the company, but the way in which it happened was contrived. Shiv having to reconsider her position right as they call her name. Ken suddenly saying he made up the whole thing about the waiter… I like the finale a lot and overall I think Shiv’s choice makes sense… but I feel like we would have been able to justify any choice from Shiv. She’s always suffered from the vaguest writing in my opinion, and having the finale ultimately rest on her action is interesting to me when it feels like the writers so often use her to just make the choices they want her to make. Still enjoyed the finale, though. If Kendall had stopped the deal, he would have 100% given Shiv power over something like news for example. The fact that Shiv chose being Tom’s obedient wife who probably won’t have an official role in the company over being under Kendall but having some official power shows that to her decision really was just based on not wanting to see Kendall get “one over her.”

Nothing changed since season 1 – for a show loved for it’s plotlines and character development, it all ends just as it would’ve had it been the Retro Los Angeles Baseball Club Stamp Logo T-Shirt moreover I love this S1 finale. The finale seemed way up it’s own ass about making Shakespearean and Godfather references. Halfway through, it started to get annoying. This show is written as a tragedy, but the ending is the best thing that could have happened to the siblings as it frees them from being crushed by this business empire for the rest of their lives. Not Shiv so much but even she has a way out if she wants – divorce. This show from the opening credits is about a billionaire father who screwed up his kids while trying to conquer the business world. The ending gives Ken and Shiv a chance to be better parents than Logan was. Roman also has a chance to get back to whatever normalcy he can manage. Kendall started turning into his dad as soon as he got power, even insulting Roman for being a pushover during the vote just like his dad did. Now he doesn’t have to become that monster of a business douche his dad trained him to be.
