People would let their phones rings for an extra 10 seconds while they looked around to see who thinks their ringtone was “cool.” Im glad I don’t need to listen to a shot box impromptu concert coming from the Retro Golf Tour Championship Wyndham Clark’s T-Shirt and I will buy this back pocket of some idiot‘s pants anymore. I’ve been wondering about this myself. My phone has a Metal Gear Solid ringtone and notification sound and whenever someone at work hears it they act like they’ve seen an alien. I lost my Archer ringtone when I switched phones, and I’m too lazy to download it again. My phone stays on silent nowadays. Mine is Bonetrousle, Papyrus’s theme from Undertale and has been since 2015 lol. I’ll never change it, it’s catchy and I always know it’s my phone going off. When I’m out or at work my phone is on vibrate, it’s in my pocket so I feel it but I have a ringtone when at home as I don’t have it on me. Absolutely hate hearing ringtones in public that are so loud and annoying. Max volume and horrible choice of ringtone. I haven’t changed mine in a hot minute, but it’s The Walking Dead theme song. Most of my notification sounds aren’t default either.

My ringtone is House of the Retro Golf Tour Championship Wyndham Clark’s T-Shirt and I will buy this Rising Sun and my text tone is the sound that plays when you find an item in Pokémon. I can’t stand a generic ass ringtone. It’s so funny to me when a phone goes off and family get togethers and at least 3 people start checking their wallets saying “Is that me?”. I still use custom ringtones and notifications so I can tell whether it needs immediate attention without looking at my phone. Speak for yourself. I got Luigi’s Mansion’s ringtone and a Paper Mario lucky sound cause I’m a huge fucking nerd and I like it. I don’t know what collective you’re talking about but it excludes me. I’m actually upset I can’t put custom ‘tones on my watch… Giving someone else the power to add a charge to our phone bill was a different level of trust that none of us have any more. I miss texting a code that was on the TV, in the middle of the night, to a phone number that charged you $1 for sending the text, so you could also be charged 2.99 for only the hook of a song (about 15 seconds). My Ringtone is Yellow Orchestra – Rydeen…my phone is also always on silent though, so I only hear when I’ve got earphones in/attached to a speak but you know I still have a little dance before I answer! I think I’m the only one I know who changes them. All my notifications, with a lot being app specific, are different Super Mario character sounds. My ringtone itself just cycles through songs I like, usually the instrumental version.
