I picked the Ramones devil playing with waves of fire T-Shirt it is in the first place but least annoying available option. Unlike my first non internet capable phone my current cell does not let me specify for different callers. My ringtone is theme from Indiana Jones and my notifications are announced by Yoda saying May the force be with you. Haven’t changed them in several years though My phones keep breaking (thanks planned obsolescence) and I don’t feel like going thru the process every damn time. You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit I don’t get why people have their phones not on silent or vibration. I hate when my phone does noise. Even before I got a smart band (as a gift) I had it vibrating. Now it’s straight up on silent mode. It annoys the hell ou of me when someone has their phone beeping and ringing because of messages. Just want to throw them and their phone out the fucking window. Edit: Regarding the last part – I have an acquaintance (generally annoying guy) who has an infutiating ringtone. He has some kind of speech as a ringtone. Living in a 10 people household with him in it I heard it many more times than I wanted. Luckily he no longer lives with us. People love doing stuff on their phones. With old school mobiles all you could do was change the ringtone, change there operator logo, or change the case. Now with smart phones, we can do so much more. Messing around with ringtones is nowhere near as entertaining as YouTube, social media, games etc.

Not sure about others, but I still actively make custom ringtones for people in my life. I have the Ramones devil playing with waves of fire T-Shirt it is in the first place but Star Trek communicator chirp for my partner, some Don’t Starve tones, several Steven Universe, and been debating doing some Pokemon sounds. I have my phone on Focus/DND for the most part, but specific contacts’ notifications are allowed to pass-by (like my partner). I turn off the ringer on my phone as soon as it comes out of the box and rarely turn it on. It’s now at the point that if my phone makes a noise, other than intentional alarms, it startles me. My best friend just called me out on this a couple weeks ago and I honestly never thought about it. I ignore my phone most of the time and hate when it goes off. I can’t remember the last time I changed my ringtone and sounds. My husband and I have the same model phones. They’re refurbished. His didn’t come with the Verizon Airwaves ringtone and we were told he couldn’t get it.
