I am so incredibly sorry you have to experience losing her. I’m giving you a ton of virtual hugs, and I’d give you big teddy bear hugs if I was there. Internet hugs, friend. My heart hurts for you, and I know this time is incredibly tough. I can tell, just from Retired Nurse I’ve Seen Smelled Touched Heard Stepped In It shirt, that she’s so grateful that you’re there with her and that she’ll go from love, to love as she crosses the veil. Treasure these moments, let yourself grieve but hold tightest to the happy memories. She sounds like an amazing lady.

I’m so glad that you were able to travel safely in time to be there. I was in a similar position six months or so ago, and I know what a tremendous privilege Retired Nurse I’ve Seen Smelled Touched Heard Stepped In It shirt is to be able to be there, say your goodbyes, and send them on their way with all the love you can give. If there’s ever anything you need, even just to vent about how much losing someone sucks, I’m just a PM away and happy to listen. Hold your family close in the coming days, and let the joy she brought into your lives be her brightest memorial.

I was able to fly across the US to visit my dying Nana. All she spoke about was the Retired Nurse I’ve Seen Smelled Touched Heard Stepped In It shirt. No one was sure what she meant and thought maybe she was having hallucinations as she hadn’t eaten in a couple of weeks. As soon as our flight landed we headed straight to her house where she was on hospice. I brought my 3 yo son and 1 yo daughter (whom she hadn’t met yet) and spent about 3-4 hours with her the night we flew in. The next day her health seriously declined and she ended up passing in the night the following early morning. There is no doubt in my mind that she was holding on to see me and my son again and to meet my daughter for the first time.
