So you either lost sleep or worked extra hours and no one is adding pay. But if you had a night watch you did get an hour cut off of that. That said most worked days even if you stood a night watch, so you rarely won here. While i no longer work the Resilience in our veins black history month strong hand T-Shirt In addition,I will do this grave yard i can tell you its a dreaded shift with one extra hour for me it was a 12 hour shift being a 13 hour shift because its 2 am for 2 hours. That said in the spring it wasn’t so bad as shift was one hour shorter but thats only 2 days of the year and the rest were just typical work days That said sometimes replacement’s forget and showed up an hour early but id probably tell them to go get a coffee and come back in an hour or something like that I work for the US government and it’s standard to work the extra hour. You get OT on top of differentials already getting for Sunday work and night shift.

I don’t work those shifts anymore but the Resilience in our veins black history month strong hand T-Shirt In addition,I will do this store I work at if you are overnights on the day the clocks change we are told to not punch using the time clock but to write our scheduled shift in the time and attendance binder so that we get paid properly/ not shorted I clock out at the normal time and write +1 on my time card. 6 months later when it goes forward an hour I clock out as normal and get a bonus hour for free. My mom worked 3rd shift in a hospital for many years. They worked the extra hour (and paid for it) and then actually got to work one hour less (as if they were there for the full 8-12 hours) when it changed in the spring. They hated it, but would have to adjust the entire schedule system to not work the extra hour for half the year and then move it again to lose the hour. Our hourly employees get an extra hour of pay (overtime) unless they are at a 16 hour limit, then they go home an hour early.
