Kudos to the Reel cool grandson fishing shirt it is in the first place but craftsmanship but overall it’s not as exciting or tight or cohesive a film as I hoped. I also feel the marketing sold a different movie. There wasn’t much of a story to be told. The “mystery” was that mobsters are corrupt and they kill people. Riddlers master plan was for Gotham’s ankles to be submerged in water while using 4channers to kill the mayor. That’s the story. The more I think about it, the more I feel like this movie is a failure at a story level. Rather than develop the characters, the movie throws the characters onto us, without making them particularly interesting. Without making a compelling story arc, the movie just gives us scene after scene of exposition being revealed for a mystery that isn’t all that fascinating

If you didn’t know any better you would think this was the Reel cool grandson fishing shirt it is in the first place but 2nd movie in a trilogy. They banked on the audience familiarity with the characters and focused on developing the mystery plot at the expense character development. I’m probably in the minority on this one but after sleeping on it i have to say The Batman was a drag. I haven’t been so bored in a movie in a long time. I wanted to love this movie so much….ugh I wasn’t bored because I stayed focused waiting for something to actually happen…and nothing ever did. Man, I’m pretty sure I loved that movie. Gorgeous cinematography, well directed, great performances from everyone The best architecture, production design and world building of Gotham City since the Burton movies Pretty interesting and well paced plot that kept me engaged throughout A return to a Batman that doesn’t kill
