I’m never fucking having kids, because my genetics are a fucking mess. It’d be profoundly cruel for me to bring a child into this world knowing that they’re just going to suffer like me. I’ll be blunt – I think having a biological child when I know they’re going to have health problems is immoral, especially when I can adopt if I want a kid that badly. There’s too many kids in need of a loving home already for me to justify inducting a child into a life of pain. That said, I believe I should still have the Reatards Grown Up Fucked Up Shirt also I will do this right to have a child if I so wish, because nobody should have power over someone else’s reproductive system, but having the right to do something and having the moral high ground in doing it are two very different things. Genetic testing should be much more widely available and free to anyone who wants to have children so that people can make their own informed decisions. IVF should also be free to anyone who needs it to select away from low quality of life or fatal fetal abnormalities. We also need to do a better job educating people on how genetics work. Why do we have consequences for people who strike their children and cause pain, consequences for people who give birth to babies addicted to drugs, and absolutely no consequences for someone choosing to conceive multiple children that all suffer and die young of genetic illness? Some people know they will continue to have kids like that and still choose to blindly roll the Reatards Grown Up Fucked Up Shirt also I will do this dice again. Personally I feel that falls into medical child abuse. I personally don’t think it matters how much money or education, or certain genetics you have. It’s the wanting children part that really matters. In my utopia, we are all infertile until a desire to be a parent, from both parents, at the same time, triggers the fertility.
