I left high school a year early for all intensive purposes. I went to college at 21 on a full ride and graduated at 27. I was not a good student, at one point I was academy probation because I had a 1.47 at the Randy Arozarena Some Guy Named Tampa Bay Rays Baseball T-Shirt besides I will buy this halfway point of the 1st semester of my sophomore year. I graduated with a 2.74. I finished my masters this last December at the age of 37. I have never spent a dollar on school, but here is what I know. School is about networking. The jobs and opportunists I’m getting now aren’t because people care about my degrees, but because they know what they’re getting from me personally. College is about foundation and proving you can do the basics, everything else is character.

As a side note, while I was not a good student for my bachelors… I graduated with a 3.9+ from my Master’s program. My professors loved having conversations with me about the Randy Arozarena Some Guy Named Tampa Bay Rays Baseball T-Shirt besides I will buy this material. I had truly amazing instructors. Putting in the extra effort to be social truly paid off and I think beyond the class itself I could have asked for connections if I needed a job. My personal stance, is if work is just work to you and there is no passion for what you do, or you don’t enjoy the people you’re with, then work will just be work to you. You’ll always likely do the bare minimum. So to tie this into the OP’s post, you can’t just minimum run everything that involves work if you want more out of life. There are people that do, but they’re the outliers. You want 100K and to work from home with low stress? Be abnormally good at what you do, be in the demand. You want college to open doors for you? You have to knock on the right doors.
