This just sucks. Airbnb has strayed too far from its coolness factor since they went public. I’m done too. Glad your weekend was salvaged at least! And How cant you book other airbnb is that only one airbnb unit ,and The second is 2,5 hours of drive,Where are u going wife?? Airbnb has THE WORST customer service. They deliberately make it bad too so people give up. I ask for supervisors only to be told there is no supervisor. Don’t know if that made it better or worse honestly because they were “Where is the Rammstein Du Hast Official Video shirt besides I will buy this WiFi?!” Age and could better articulate complaints. Last year the wife and I booked a place, got there it was filthy, stayed the night as it was late, Airbnb got involded and it was refunded and we booked somewhere else, 4 days in water leaks into the kitchen through an electrical box, Airbnb deem it unsafe, we are told to find somewhere we want to stay (we opted for a hotel a few miles away) they payed up to the value of the booking we had booked for, plus gave us £100 towards lunch. On top of that they refunded me for the 2nd stay. All in all it was a good service from Support. The wife and I ended uo having an 8 day getaway for less than £200! The £200 extra was because we opted to pay more for a sea view room and a breakfasts & dinners for the remainder of our stay in the hotel.

It put my wife off Airbnb completely, me I’m not too bothered by the Rammstein Du Hast Official Video shirt besides I will buy this experience. However we are hosts and couldn’t believe how bad the hosts treated us. Let alone the negative review left by them to me. I’m becoming increasingly concerned by the stories you hear however most people only publicly state the bad experiences, I imagine for every 1 bad experience like this there are 100+ positive experiences, or at least I hope so. Once the fist place didn’t work out, I would have given it about 20 minutes to find a new place and then headed back towards home. I’m not patient. Those calls to the bell line would not have… helped me. Lol. Glad to hear you got a refund without having to go through the dispute process. And I believe every word, I went through something very similar, but it took a month for Airbnb to issue me a coupon towards my next day, and as soon as I redeemed coupon, my account was shut down. I thought you were going to say the same, that your account was shut down when I seen there was an error message
