Nope. A VERY large man had the Proud Vietnam Veteran Of The U.S. Marine Corps shirt moreover I love this middle seat. Sigh. I did the Minnesota-nice thing and said I would sit in the middle and prepared myself for a very squishy 3 hour flight. I could not have been more wrong. I was propped up snuggly on either side; best sleep I’ve ever had on a plane bar none and I’ve flown on a plane with a fully reclining seat (to Europe). Either someone who stinks putridly… or who just relentlessly won’t stop talking to you even when you give less than nothing back in convo. I’m 6’9″ 300 lbs. I’ve never sat next to someone that size on a plane but I’d imagine it’s got to be miserable. One time, the mom and dad tried to get me to swap my window seat for their teenage son’s middle seat and when I said no, they decided to make my 8 our flight an absolute hell. The dad, in middle seat, was almost on my lap the entire time and kept stretching bigger and bigger. They also refused to get up to let me use the restroom till I threatened to report them. He also shaked my seat enough to spill my soda while I was eating my meal. Oh and they watched a movie on their phone, with no headphones for a while. Kept talking about how rude I was to everyone around me Someone that just can’t follow the little rules and keeps getting in trouble with the stewardship. (ie. nowadays wearing a mask or having to distance in some places) or moving around and getting in the storage when you’re not supposed to.
