I flew from Germany to India once and ended up between two kids on a very long flight and they could not sit still. Their mother got a seat away from them. Where she slept. So, I had really extreme ocd at one point (still have it pretty bad, but it’s better) and kept imagining getting sharp things shoved through my right eyeball. Sat next to a knitter and started hyperventilating. She was so sweet because I panicked and asked her for some mercy and she obliged. Luckily I was sandwiched between 2 of the nicest men last time I flew… one even offered me his blanket when my water bottle exploded all over me from the pressure lol but he was kinda a weirdo cause he said I had beautiful hands and could be a hand model…. Wtf?!!!!

Some lonely salesman who won’t shut up during a transatlantic flight, does not take hints and only talks about himself in a monotone voice. Literally anyone who doesn’t stink. I’ll take sitting next to a crying baby rather than someone who smells like some funky shit. Screaming baby or heavy set person in the middle seat. The worst actually would be a heavy set person with a screaming baby. I would be actually trapped. trust me when i say, the answer is someone that keeps ordering alcoholic beverages. you have to constantly get up so they can go piss, even when the flight attendant tells you to sit down because they are trying to land the plane. it was a nightmare trying to tell an old guy who is drunk out of his mind that you cannot get up or else you will get yelled at. I sat next to a woman who was hacking up a lung on a flight. Few days later, I tested positive for Covid. Was sick as a dog for weeks. I sat next to a man once who kept inching closer to me and trying to touch me. As a young woman, this was terrifying. I realize now I could have asked to be reseated, but at the time I just kind of froze up. This kind of garbage had never happened to me before at that time. It was just awful. Gotta tell you a reverse story. Back in the day when it was possible to not have a full flight, there was a VERY large man in the window seat and I (45F – 160lbs) in the aisle seat. Of course we’re both hoping for a vacant middle seat.
