This is a text by José Esteban Muñoz, and the Premium mC5 Testify! American Flag T-Shirt also I will do this paper says it better, but it goes on about how we can look at things the can be both negative and positive, and how we bridge that gap. Really rough stuff to wrap your head around but it really helps break down the binary of good or bad. The makeup isn’t even that bad if you think abt it in a vacuum. The issue is Melissa McCarthy, from a looks perspective, is a miscast without any significant changes. Her face looks young and babyish rather than an evil queen. She looks more like a friendly sea nymph than a narcissistic abuser. So to compensate, the makeup team should have used prosthetics or have gone A LOT more dramatic with the makeup. Instead they just did some basic makeup that would work on someone with naturally the right face for Ursula.

At any rate, there’s a lot of questionable creative direction choices in the Premium mC5 Testify! American Flag T-Shirt also I will do this movie but Melissa does perform the music well, giving it a lot of Ursula life aurally from what I’ve seen. Imagine getting hired to paint by heidi or willam just because they are lgbtqia. ALSO isnt Ursula based on fucking Devine, I didnt realize Devine was know for her immaculate mug! This is dumb, make me the make up artist and as much of a gay as I am, I’m not doing a good job. Just get a good make up artist and if the person in charge knows more about doing other stuff as prosthetics, I get it but hire a supplementary one, or just don’t do a showcase of it. It’s not like it matters, she’ll be caked in absurd amounts of cgi anyway. Also, lol at the people wanting the movie to be accurate to the animated one while ignoring that there’s a big elephant in the room that should tell them, they didn’t care about being accurate to the older movie.
