Edit: I did not mention in post originally as I didn’t think it was relevant, but after being asked several times, I’m currently disabled. I cannot lift anything at all. Even though I only have a few items, I still have to hire a moving company who charged $200 an hour. Don’t pay them anything, make them work for it. Like Psychedelic59 said, the Condo Mgmt company will fine the landlord or owner of the condo you were in. The landlord/condo owner would then take you to LTB hearing or small claims court. Not 100% but I think LTB stays away from condo by-laws, could be wrong on that though. The fact you didn’t know the penalty was $5000 doesn’t mean you are off the hook. Think of it this way, if you roll through a stop sign, is there anything that tells you the ticket amount for breaking that rule? You do not know until you get the ticket, or if you previously educated yourself.
