Except you can’t with a fighting game. The current version of the Premium 53 years 1970 2023 Queen thank you for the memories signature shirt it is in the first place but game won’t exist in 6 years, and most games won’t have communities after 6 years. I am able to completely destroy my nephews at Street Fighter for this exact reason, whereas with Fortnite it’s the opposite. A friend of my housemate asked if I wanted to play SFII last year. Me, “OK, I might suck cos it’s been over 20 years since I last played.” No, since they remade the map like 2 years ago and blockd that angle with a big cement block ’cause “terrorist had advantage” I swear fighting games actually never leave your muscle memory. You play any of them for a year or more and you will actually legit be able to pick it up back up in a day. Just did it with Strive, took a break for a year after character changes that gutted both of my mains. Came back, was back to beating up on similar level/floor people in a few hours playing. Brain works in mysterious ways. Sure, but on the 1st few months of a fighting game a lot of new people are trying it out so you get matched with people your level. After 6 years there is basically no new blood. Not only this but if you want to have fun online but not get super competitive – you basically only have the first few months when everyone else is learning. I bought Tekken 7, FighterZ, Injustice, Mortal Kombat etc. at launch and you could hop online and have ‘fun’ matches – you load up those games now and the only population left playing these games is going to destroy you if you haven’t also been playing for xx years.
