I think that this largely depends on a game and how niche it is. I started playing street fighter 5 handful months ago and it’s honestly fine. If you wanted the Ultimate stuff, you had to buy the game. There was no DLC download if you already have 3. On the plus side, at least you got a new set of achievements to go through.
