Overall, mindfulness is about learning to be present and aware, even in difficult situations. It takes time and practice, so be patient with yourself and keep exploring what works best for you. If mindfulness doesn’t feel helpful right now, there are other practices and techniques that might be a better fit for you at this stage of your journey. Don’t combat your feelings. Try it until you find someone you mesh with. If you can, maybe go for a psychotherapist. I don’t regret paying a little more for mine. I can’t stress enough about how being curious about yourself and allowing yourself to be vulnerable is the cure to most of the discontent in our world.
