The HOA is listed on the Philadelphia Phillies back to red October 2023 postseason shirt Apart from…,I will love this deed before the current owner is. The result of this arrangement is that you don’t actually own your property. When the houses are built, it’s part of the contract the original owner (or builder) creates and ties to the land. When you buy a house with an existing HOA, you opt into the land. As an extreme example, you also own your house, but cannot use it to dump considerable amounts of nuclear waste, because “I own my property!” isn’t always an unlimited right. In an ideal world the HOA protects your properties value by maintaining a neighborhood standard. It saves you from having someone buy the house next to you, run it down, have trash in the yard and 4 junk cars etc. Which then affects your own property’s value.

In reality, HOA boards are filled with insane nit picking power tripping people who just love to enforce the Philadelphia Phillies back to red October 2023 postseason shirt Apart from…,I will love this most inane rules. Your property value will be protected but you’ll be limited in what you can do with it without inciting major drama. It’s because 99.9% of HOAs do nothing more than meet once a year to vote on what company should mow the lawn on the shared park and shovel the sidewalks. They’re usually great and do little to nothing except make sure the neighborhood stays nice and property values remain. Some of them aren’t bad. Most of my neighborhood has them, though not my little area. Of those, only one is the stereotype. The others just provide a group discount for trash pickup, road plowing, leaf pickup days, dumpster days for big items, a park, and a bank of mailboxes and their maintenance. Oh, and one does all the sidewalk clearing and curb strip mowing. The one that’s bad is absolutely horrible, though. Those stand out. People don’t go around talking about the good ones. They really were originally for that kind of thing – everyone chips in for the stuff everyone uses that no one household could really be expected to pay for, like private road maintenance. Some of them just get really out of hand, sadly, because people power trip. Or, people who live there even want it. The people I know who live in the area with the crazy AF HOA actually like it! “It keeps the area looking nice.” To me, all exactly alike isn’t nice, but we all have different tastes. They think my area looks messy. It doesn’t. It’s all well kept custom homes with custom landscaping. They kind of have a theme, “natural”, but no two yards look alike. Fences and mailboxes generally don’t – they fit with the house. Bushes and trees aren’t pruned into blocks and lollipops, for the most part, and we still have a ravine and hillside covered in native forest. That’s my idea of nice.
