If your coworker wasn’t at your company, do you still think you would’ve been assigned her important tasks? If you stay hidden in the Philadelphia eagles team players 2023 shirt also I will do this background, just grinding away at tickets someone will stand out more than you. What has also helped me so far is getting the people who are favored by management to advocate for me as well. The “stars” on my team like me. So, I don’t necessarily have to always brag about myself to management, given my team wants to see me succeed as well. They seem to brag to management for me sometimes. I have a great team tho’ and not everyone is fortunate to have that. Still, don’t forget you can gain favor from management by getting management’s favorites to be your allies. That tip is exactly what I do, I don’t talk to leadership much, but do have a great relationship with the engineer on my team who does talk with leadership often. It’s easier for me to “brag”/promote my work to them since they understand what I do.

Philadelphia eagles team players 2023 shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

If you want visible important tasks, you have to be visible. You don’t have to shout from the Philadelphia eagles team players 2023 shirt also I will do this rooftops to promote yourself but you do have to put in a little effort I don’t like talking either. So I ask people questions to get them talking. Then I ask follow up questions, and I can have a 2 hour conversation without saying much. People seem to like it when someone seems interested in what they have to say. I’m a mediocre dev but people say they like working with me. Seems to be working well so far. I hate bragging about myself too, so when I complete something, I’ll give a big shoutout to anyone who helped me along the way. Also, you just gotta get used to advocating for yourself and selling your work. It’s part of the game, and as gross as it feels in the beginning, you get used to it. Honestly, me neither. And while it does hamper me slightly, I find that this alone isn’t a killer issue career wise. Even writing up AARs, presenting learnings or mentoring newcomers with the knowledge you got from your work is enough to get visibility and move you through in your career if you’re good at your job.
