also i am gonna geta lot of negative hate for this.. beacuse of all the Mario Squirt It’s A Pee Shirt and I will buy this BHAKTS whoa re tuahgt its WRONG to critisise and they are gonna go to hell for this and all their sadhana will be ruined lol. but it IS fundamentalisitc.Stop with the „there’s no fundamentalism in Hinduism when people are being raped, killed because of their caste. Except for small groups of people who have problems with everything (which is common everywhere), everything is chill. I always hated bowing down to anyone for no reason. The imagery of God fell in the same category. So it was mostly ego related reasons. I had started questioning the rituals way back as a kid, sometimes it angered my dad when I cross questioned. My father was kinda strict with his beliefs and forced me to participate too. I didn’t revolt but I hated it including the smirk on the faces of the “idiot” priests. So I turned out to be a typical ego driven anti religious atheist teenager.

Luckily I’m past that phase- randomly hating on religion and religious folk for not well understood reasons. There sure are certain positive things about religion. I am still very much a Hindu, not in the Mario Squirt It’s A Pee Shirt and I will buy this religious context, because it doesn’t feel right to give up on an identity my ancestors strived to build. Still I don’t think I’m ever bowing my head to any deity again. It’s a phase of indifference. My parents are fine, they don’t care. Sometimes I do participate on their request just to keep their heart. Atheism is definitely on a rise. People are growing irreligious every day. I think people here have always been open minded/accepting of non-religious beliefs as long as you don’t disrespect their religion. That’s something inherent in polytheism I suppose, so technically in our culture.
