Now compare that to how much space is there for dedicated cycling. Instead the councils decided to enforce parking bays, not sacrifice any parking, and not put in place enough parking bays This is what happens when you force bikes into specific areas instead of letting people pick an appropriate parking spot. The company have the gps data and picture for when you drop it off, so detecting bikes that are parked badly vs stolen and moved really shouldn’t be difficult. If the council started fining the company I’m pretty sure they’d find a way to pass on those.
