This is why you got that reaction. Greed is absolutely a problem, but the Ooh La La In L.A. Slade Rock shirt and I love this inverse is telling someone who is suffering that their belief that they need money is the problem. Meditation is a good tool if you have been abused in the past. Meditation heals and keeps the immune system healthy. Ask them questions. Honest questions, without an agenda. Your job is not to convince them of anything, but to facilitate their awareness, and possibly come to understand their situations and reasons for yourself. some describe it as tranquility. some describe it as a combination of things, as in a hierarchy of needs being met, like psychologists. So you’re the happiness police that won’t let them pursue that line of thought? Do you really think that your intervention will change their mind? They’ll most likely find the same conclusion you did eventually, or not. You’re looking for a better argument to go back with but in my opinion i think you should save your wisdom and energy to give to those that will listen Nah I gave up on them a while ago I’m just curious if anyone has had success with this endeavor cause it seems impossible even with my optimism. Ultimately it’s up to them of course. And why shouldn’t I attempt to reach those that will listen? Can’t hurt to try If I’m perfectly content with a messy room, I’ll never clean it. Do I “need” the room to be cleaned to be happy? Only if I’m attached to the reality where it is clean. If I’m not attached to the reality, the messy room may or may not give me anxiety. And I may or may not clean it out of my preexisting happiness. Rather than simply wanting a clean room, I forsake my happiness due to attachment to change. Sometimes we need change to be happy. So the truth is, you don’t need money to be happy, unless you’re making that a requirement for happiness. (And it’s a requirement for MOST people)
Ooh La La In L.A. Slade Rock shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt
I go back and forth on this paradigm quite often. It’s super confusing when I’m not happy, and super simple when I am, so idk why I keep “losing it” and become too attached to realities that don’t exist (yet) I’ve found that the Ooh La La In L.A. Slade Rock shirt and I love this “key” to happiness is faith. Faith that the future can be better, faith that world is filled with light even if I can’t see it, faith that I don’t need to know everything. But I challenge you to truly ponder on happiness’s limit. If sunlight, excersise and diet can improve our mood and overall happiness, then why wouldn’t removing those things create unhappiness? Is happiness a purely subjective state? Why is prolonged solitary confinement proven to be intensely damaging to the psyche? Could a person truly be happy to have all their freedoms taken, and to endure physical and mental torture for all of their living life? I don’t think the Buddha or christ themselves would be “happy”.
