If you are not union, your rights as an employee are slim. Its up to you, do you want to keep your job? Just go to the Official kurt busch nascar cup 2004 champion shirt but in fact I love this stupid shit if you have to. I have to do dumb stuff that I don’t want to at work, so I can get paid and do fun stuff away from work. I understand the sub is antiwork, but sometimes we have to be grown and responsible and attend events we may not find enjoyable. Part of being “grown and responsible” is prioritizing actual, paying work over corporate fluff. Bills require money, not corporate promises. I get it, but they didn’t want to do a lunch? I mean, come on. Fluff comes with every job at some point. It’s unfortunate, but it does. Fuck lunch and learns. My lunch is my time, I refuse to spend in learning more about fucking work. If I got this, I’d reply and say that my lunchtime is reserved for my lunch and I was unable to attend since I was not working at that time.

Interesting… who is “management” in this case? Is anyone your direct superior or boss? Can you get in trouble for this? I once skipped a team building event because I was feeling unwell, I opted to do home office instead. I couldn’t reach my supervisor but I informed the Official kurt busch nascar cup 2004 champion shirt but in fact I love this person managing the event. My supervisor was so mad, because the company had paid another company a fee for me to attend that event. You don’t have to answer this question if it wasn’t mandatory. If it occurred during your lunch break, that is technically time off and it’s no one’s business what you do during that time. Even this email says you were “invited,” you simply declined the invite. “First – anything “important” should be scheduled during normal business hours. I do not include employee lunch hours as ‘normal business hours’, as due to the general load of IT work, quite often employees will have to use their lunch period to take care of personal issues.
