Fighting games also used to be a lot worse, there were no online updates so you had to buy an updated version every time it came out to stay competitive. This model is a lot better especially if you know you won’t play the Official elvis 70th anniversary 1953 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt in contrast I will get this dlc characters. damn, im glad im not a fighting game fan. makes me appreciate all the games i played all have free new characters. I’ve seen people mention p2w items in the pass but no one has been able to elaborate. The official word is that it’s cosmetics only so until someone can actually explain what is p2w about the pass I’m going with what I’ve seen. And cmon you can’t say people are going to FOMO on skins for Diablo 4 but not for actual playable fighters in SF. I’m not into Fighting games so I’m not familiar with the genres history but it sounds way worse to me then what is reportedly going on with D4

I’ve seen people mention p2w items in the Official elvis 70th anniversary 1953 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt in contrast I will get this pass but no one has been able to elaborate. The official word is that it’s cosmetics only so until someone can actually explain what is p2w about the pass I’m going with what I’ve seen. There are XP/gold boosts in the battle pass which some people are upset about. Personally I don’t care about it and I’m someone who won’t be getting a battle pass ever. Also the guy you were replying too is just spreading crazy misinfo “he heard from a friend” but its reddit so it gets upvotes. I remember back when DLC was something ‘new’ and everybody hated it. Now people are defending the fact that you have to pay extra to have the complete experience. People have realized that DLC is a way to extend a game’s life beyond initial release. We still have a problem with day 1 DLC, but stuff that gets released months after release is fine. The industry deserves to crash again. Fuck all this mtx, lootbox, battle pass, day 1 dlc, day 1 patch and it’s still not playable bullshit. You act like you can’t play the full game without the pricier editions. You absolutely can. The higher tiers are just bonuses. Especially since this is basically just preordering the DLC coming later. Day 1 the game will be the same no matter which version, and when the dlc comes out standard version people can just buy it then if they want it.
