I love my baby boy but he’s not allowed in our bedroom at night at all because he gets zoomie at 3am. He knows the Official dear Santa It Was His Fault Lights Santa Hat Christmas T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this drill now and when we disappear around ten every night he doesn’t mind and then when we re-emerge around 7 he’s waiting outside the door but not upset. Sleep is important, they’ll forgive you! I used to have light sleep and wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep if I woke up. Not anymore haha they get better overtime, tire him out right before bedtime and you might squeeze in an extra hour You only are if you don’t play with him ever. Playing with them helps counter the 3am zoomies. I haven’t experienced them in a good couple months. He has his moments, but for the most part my cat doesn’t tear up the house at 3am. Edit: I just saw you added additional info. Yes, 4 month olds will have TONS of energy. You’re certainly not an asshole for kicking him out of your room especially if you have work/life to work around that you need sleep for.

I play with him throughout the Official dear Santa It Was His Fault Lights Santa Hat Christmas T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this day. Because of this, he ends up taking an epic nap and waking up around supper time. More playing and then cuddles till about 1 am. Then it’s off to the races again! Yeah, he’s still young. Mine calmed down a bit after he was neutered, and even more since last year. He’s only 2 now, but we play with him tons to get all that energy out and he’s quiet enough to not disturb us throughout the night. Idk what he does but at least he’s not loud I have an appointment for him to get snipped in July. I also have another cat who is 7 and she calmed down at about 18 months. I’ve got 3 cats and they all sleep through the night.. my youngest used to run around at night when he was a kitten, but every time his zoomies interrupted my sleep, I grabbed him, pulled the blanket over him, and forcefully snuggled him to sleep. Luckily, my boy’s a big sook, so he just gives in and cuddles.
