I think if you really think the Odell Beckham Jr Graphic Shirt so you should to go to store and get this position is a huge step up title wise you just tell them you can’t accept less than your current salary. Whatever your firm number is just say it and say you aren’t negotiating further. Maybe you don’t get an increase in pay but the title can be worth vastly more in a few years I’m guessing. This is what I would do if I wanted the resume bump I am excited to join your team and know I can make valuable contributions given my extensive experience in higher education. I am a bit confused with this initial offer as I currently make $95,000 and mentioned I would be looking for an offer at $105,000. Can you help me understand where this decision came from? Yes I would set your number to make the move and let them know it. Maybe something like, “I am flattered with the offer however I am unable and unwilling to take a pay cut. I need at least x for this to make sense for me to make a move.”

If you consider the Odell Beckham Jr Graphic Shirt so you should to go to store and get this crazy rent hike and inflation, I think 100 K is the new 65 K. You should try to negotiate, if not then leave it. Tell them straight. I currently make x. I won’t be taking a pay cut to come to your side. Feel free to inflate what t you currently make. I’d say ttwll them that you make 95 and expect no less than 100k. If they want you they’ll give you 100k. If they want to pay less then you still have your current gig. The detail is you have to be willing to cut your loses and walk away from the job Most of these comments leave out a crucial element; successful negotiations require two elements. One is an acceptable offer, which they have not provided. Two is urgency, both to provide an acceptable offer & to move forward in a timely manner.
