Make sure you have a union representative. I’d like to see them fire you for this imagine the No Matter How Fast You Run Michael Walks Faster Horror Movie Halloween T-Shirt but in fact I love this unfare dismissal payout you’ll get. Their loss! If it’s Tesco you work for the polucy in suspected money laundering is to let it go through then tell the manager. Well only thing I could think of to scam would pay the 300 using dodgy notes then go t0 another store for refund and grt proper notes back but ? , but that’s sound ridiculous to much hassle. As I’d keep the clothes no refund This is an old money laundering tactic. It is commonly used by drug dealers and others who have illegitimate funds they need to ‘clean’. They will go to one store and buy a whole bunch of items, or one more expensive item. Then a few hours later go to another location and return the items. Usually this is done without a receipt so that they will get an in store credit on a gift card. Then they will sell that card at a small loss and have the money sent to a bank account that is not associated with them that they have access too. So they have a whole bunch of accounts with many people’s names on them, full of thousands in currency, that they then send overseas from those accounts or to other people to pay for drugs or other illegal things.

This has been going on for the No Matter How Fast You Run Michael Walks Faster Horror Movie Halloween T-Shirt but in fact I love this last few decades in Canada, since e transfers (electronic bank to bank transfers of money that all Canadian banks use with no fees and is instant) were established to save on using cheques and stuff. I am not surprised that this is happening elsewhere in the world. The people who usually do the act of buying and returning things are addicts, or other low level criminals who get a cut of the money when the cash is cleaned. Is the note on your file formal or informal? Does it expire in 6-12 months? Usually do, and they don’t always prevent you going further, pay rise or promotion either. Sounds like a crappy boss. If you’ve also never been told to ask to double count cash then how can you know of any procedure failure?
