Should I firmly commit to one format? Or possibly do a 3:1 ratio on a certain format, that way I can still experiment? What is your advice for an experienced creator (been full time with a gaming channel since 2020) launching a brand new endeavour/channel? Let me explain my plans so far so you can critique them too. there will be no cross promotion. my new channel will focus on history/story telling and I want it to find it’s own audience organically. I’ve heard recommendations of making sure to launch with multiple video so you can create that feedback loop right off the Nicklas Backstrom Signature Swedish professional ice hockey centre Washington Bars T-Shirt But I will love this start and if you get a viewer there is already more of you to watch for them. I plan to have 4-5 videos ready for launch(working on the 3rd one right now, willing to send links to unlisted examples if you care).

I feel like I have a good chance for success based on prior skills/knowledge of yt/creation, but I know there are no guarantees with youtube no matter how “good” your content is. Open to any advice that comes from that perspective. I would not do cross promotion in this case as they seem to be two very different ideal viewer profiles. Mixing those will only confuse the Nicklas Backstrom Signature Swedish professional ice hockey centre Washington Bars T-Shirt But I will love this living shit out of the suggested/browse algorithms or leave you with a ton of ghost subs. Organic audience finding is king as always. Yeah it’s good to release a few videos in quick succession in the beginning to have a higher probability of creating binge sessions. As long as they follow the same format/recipe 5 videos give you more signals on what works and what doesn’t versus one. Plus more binge sessions equals more impressions overall for the channel. Your skills will def help you a ton vs people brand new to YT. The fundamentals of Yt success doesn’t change per market, but viewing behaviour and “metas” do. It’s more about figuring out what the current best practices are for your ideal viewer in that market and improving upon them.
