I don’t know what the Nice i’m Not Fat I’m Fluffy Cat Merch T-Shirt moreover I will buy this exact details of the contracts were (surprisingly) but green runs don’t let you produce plutonium in greater quantities, that’s limited by the reactor and only let the first batch get delivered sooner. Have you experienced any new health issues in the last 3 years? Also, I’d be surprised if something that catastrophic happened nearby and no one ever talks about it. Yeahhhh. This is unnerving but I’m not at all surprised. I lived there for late middle and high school. I have a thyroid disorder. So did my dog. The vet said that she saw a LOT more thyroid disorders in tri-cities than where she moved from (Arizona, I think?). Fought a few wildland fires out there in the 90’s on Hanford. The shit that’s still out there is boggling and so close and upwind to the Tri Cities area. The FM radio broadcast about “If you lived here and have these problems” from the gov’t were fucking creepy.

GE, Philips and DuPont put up a lot of roadblocks to people finding out what they had been exposed to (even as far as confiscating organs from the cadavers of workers) so citizen groups worked together to find out more. Yeah it’s probably biased. Also I’m skeptical to how much of a danger, if any, there is now. Formal hanford thyroid disease studies showed no difference in rates. I also know physicists who work at PNNL who aren’t worried at radiation levels, and I have heard no talk among the oncologists in the area about higher cancer rates…
