So I think it just comes from old values to eat the Nice curly Bill Brocius American gunman rustler and an outlaw Cowboy in the Cochise County T-Shirt in contrast I will get this food that was given to not waste any and genuine concern of getting all the nutrition a child needs growing up. A cousin I grew up with folks were that way – at least the aunt. They had to try everything placed on the table. Which was fair and all. But even if they spooned a bit on their plate she made them ‘take more and eat it’. When my cousin almost vomited once, she got slapped, which was abuse. Punished for her body rejecting food it didn’t like. And made me so mad as a kid. A friends parent did this also … made her little brother sit at the table to finish a Creole bean stew she’d made, claiming the father loved that stuff. So the boy should love it too. Smelled awful and I pitied him as he was forced to sit there for nearly an hour, fighting back tears and trying not to throw up. Then punished for not liking something his dad loved as she dumped the food out then sent him to his room as punishment. Good lord. I guess some parents might have experienced real hunger at some point of their lives, so they are afraid of it. Or the grandparents grew in hunger times and taught their children (now parents) this behavior.

I now struggle from binge eating because my step dad forced me to eat huge portions. I was a healthy weight as a kid. Not anymore. The biggest thing that stuck out to me in my Development course in nursing school is that most of the Nice curly Bill Brocius American gunman rustler and an outlaw Cowboy in the Cochise County T-Shirt in contrast I will get this time kids will eat pretty much exactly the amount they need to eat without forcing. If they’re picky leave healthy snacks around where they can reach them and they’ll eventually try them out. Force is not needed. It is abuse. I’ve never forced my kids to “clean their plate”. My one rule has always been however they must TRY everything on their plate. Thats why I leave their food on the table in case they get hungry. My kids are allowed to take bites and come back to it later. Sometimes mommy will help them finish their food. But that wreaks havoc on my figure. Eventually the dog gets it if its boneless, doesn’t have onions, and doesn’t have garlic… or chocolate. But when have my kids ever rejected something Chocolate? Something I never understood is why when a child tries a food and hates it their parents will keep giving them it and punishing them when they won’t eat it
